Personal life
I grew up in Scotland and spent my college days in England. Since 2005 I have lived in Starnberg with my husband and three children.
Education and Training
- 1992: Graduated in medicine and surgery from Cambridge University
- 1992 – 1996: General training in paediatrics in Brighton and London (Guys hospital)
- 1995: Member of the examination of the Royal College of Physicians, London
- 1996 – 2002: Specialist training in Paediatric endocrinology and diabetes (Barts and the London Hospitals, and Great Ormond Street hospital) including research into the genetics of various growth disorders.
- 2002: Doctoral thesis (PhD) in Genetic Factors in Small for Gestational Children
2003: Specialist in paediatric and adolescent medicine
2003: Specialist in paediatric endocrinology and diabetology
- 2003 – 2007: Senior Lecturer and Consultant Specialist Paediatric Endocrinologist and Diabetologist and, Barts and the London Hospital
2008: BLÄK recognition as a specialist in paediatric and adolescent medicine
- 2009: BLÄK recognition for children’s endocrinology and diabetology
2007 – 2011: Paediatric endocrinologist and diabetologist, Gauting Medical Center
- since 2012: Child endocrinologist and diabetologist, Starnberg and Munich
